Watch an Exciting Race of Autonomous Vehicles

There is an hour long Nova documentary program called “The Great Robot Race”. It is divided in seven chapters which are completed online for your free viewing at pbs.org.

Teams modified vehicles with hardware sensors and software code so that the vehicles can navigate an 132 miles course in the Mohave desert without any driver or remote control. And the course must be completed within 10 hours. This race is known as the Grand Challenge with a 2 million dollar prize to the winner. This may sound easy, but it is a tough problem that takes a large amount of work and effort by many people to solve.

Documentary “Supersize Me” shows what happens when you eat nothing but McDonalds

In this 2004 documentary “Super Size Me”, Morgan Spurlock ate nothing but McDonald’s for a whole month. Doctors tracked what happens to his health during this experiment. The film explores the obesity epidemic and how much fast food is contributing to this.

Documentary: “The Life of Buddha”

This documentary shows archaeologists uncovering the history of Buddha. Buddha was a prince in India 400 years BC by the name of Siddhartha. In his teens, he went outside the insular palace walls and discovered there was great suffering in the world such as old age, disease, and death. He journeyed in the lands as well as in his mind to find answers to the end of such sufferings and discovered it through contemplative meditation while sitting under a tree. There he reached nirvana and became Buddha, the “awakened one”. This was the start of the Buddhism.

Documentary: “Brain Man”

This is the story of Daniel Tammet, an autistic savant with Asperger’s syndrome who can do complex math in his head and can learn languages at an extraordinary rate.

Documentary Film About Google



Film documents the history of Google and interviews a few Goolge employees, including Marisa Mayer, Google’s Vice President. From her you will hear what Google’s motto is. Very informative.
